Disclaimer: I do not own CCS. ^^;; It is copyright Clamp and Kodansha. I don't think I can EVER think up of such a wonderful anime. *__*
A/N: This is my first fanficcie. I hope it isn't TOO bad. -__-" [cringes] This ficcie will have Japanese in it, so if you don't know it too well, please use the Japanese/English dictionary I provided at the end of the this chapter. I only used the basic Japanese greetings and phrases. Anyway, Tomoyo is 16. Sakura & Syaoran are also 16. This ficcie will have mostly E+T and a little S+S. =D

-------------Chapter 1-------------
"You promise you'll be back?" asked an auburn-haired female. Amethyst orbs met emerald globes. Tomoyo held Sakura's hand in hers. "I assure you. You have nothing to worry about."
"Tomoyo, dear, please hurry up! Our flight is in a few minutes!" Sonomi yelled from across the port. The violet-haired girl sighed. "Coming, mother!" Tomoyo ran to her mother and looked back one last time. She held back the tears that were threatening to pour out. Her mother was called away to a trip to England for business. She would miss her friends dearly. She had no intentions of going to England, but she had already promised her mother that she would come along. Besides, it's not like she was needed here in Tomoeda. Sakura had Syaoran, Chiharu had Takashi, Rika and Terada-sensei, and Naoko would probably prefer reading or studying. Meiling was in Hong Kong too. That left one person. It was him......Hiiragizawa Eriol. She hadn't seen him since that night..............
*// FLASHBACK \\*
The night sky was darkening and the moon had already come up. Sparkles in the blanket of darkness above made Tomoyo glace up at the sky. The stars seemed most beautiful tonight. Tomoyo was standing outside on her balcony.
[They're beautiful...] Tomoyo never took her eyes off the bejeweled sky. "So are you." A hand rested on her shoulder. Tomoyo blushed. He had read her mind again. "Arigato, Eriol-san, demo.....there's no need for flattery. Also, stop reading my mind....!" Tomoyo said, without glancing at him.
Eriol smirked at the image of Tomoyo blushing. "I only speak the truth, Tomoyo-san. Though, I admit it is rude of me to read minds, who can resist the thoughts of the lovely Daidouji Tomoyo?"
[I should be careful with my thoughts...] Tomoyo sneezed. [It's getting cold, I should be heading back inside.] "Pardon me, but I wish to go back inside. It's a bit cold out here. If you want to, you may stay out here till morning. I don't care." Tomoyo said teasingly.
"Stay out here and miss the glory of accompanying Miss Daidouji? I think not." He spoke smoothly. Tomoyo grinned at his formality. "I have to go to bed anyway, so that means you'll need to be heading back home. Now off you go!" Tomoyo pulled him inside.
"Wait....just a few more drinks?" Eriol said eyeing the counter full of wine and other beverages. "Please?" Eriol begged, giving Tomoyo an irresistably handsome smile.
"Fine! But don't drink too much, or you'll get drunk! Even though you're the reincarnation of Clow Reed, doesn't mean you're not a 16-year-old right now, and that means you still can't handle too much wine!" Tomoyo sighed. "Yes, ma'am..." grinned Eriol.
After a few minutes.............
Hiccup....hiccup....hiccup......Eriol falls over on Tomoyo's bed. Tomoyo rolls her eyes. "Didn't I tell you NOT to overdrink?" Tomoyo helps Eriol sit up. [I must admit though, you look extra kawaii when you're drunk...] Tomoyo blushes at the thought of this. Suddenly, Eriol whispers something and falls back over on Tomoyo's bed.
"Did you say something?" She pokes him. "I........love.................[hiccup]......you......" Eriol began, "..........Kaho."
Tomoyo's eyes widened. [...............KAHO!! Did I hear wrong? No, I didn't hear wrong. He specifically said that he loved Kaho, not me.] Tears welled up in Tomoyo's eyes as she blinked them away. [I should have known. I was just a pawn in his "search for love". How silly of me to have actually thought he loved me...] Tomoyo gracefully wiped her eyes and ran out.
When morning arrived, Eriol awoke with a huge headache. Beside him lay note..........
Hiiragizawa-kun,
  I was silly to think I could be loved. It would be better for the both of us if we weren't to see each other. I would care less how long, but until then, I bid you farewell.
            Signed, Daidouji Tomoyo
"Tomoyo........I'm sorry........" Eriol sighed. He put down the note, got up, and left.
*// END OF FLASHBACK \\*
As much as he had hurt her...Tomoyo still felt for him. She understood that it was hard to let go of your first love. It was also hard for her to let go of Sakura. But Tomoyo was convinced that it was very inconsiderate of Eriol to seek another love when he still loved Kaho. She tried her best to fight the tears that threatened to emerge. She refused to cry, especially in front of Sakura. [I'm not weak...I don't need anyone's pity...]
"Do you promise to write once in a while?" Sakura broke Tomoyo's chain of thoughts.
"Oh, of course. Why wouldn't I?" giggled Tomoyo, after putting on her best mask. "Oh yes, and please say 'Bye' to Syaoran for me, okay?"
"HAIIII." nodded Sakura. "Though I can't help but wonder what Syaoran is doing that is MORE important that seeing you off!" she put her hands on her hips. Tomoyo hid a smile and walked off shouting, "I'll see you again someday! I miss you already!"
Sakura watched her go and murmured silently, "Same here, Daidouji Tomoyo...."
~~~~++++~~~~++++~~~~++++~~~~++++~~~~
"NOW ARRIVING AT LONDON, ENGLAND. NOW ARRIVING AT LONDON, ENGLAND."
Tomoyo yawned and looked at her watch. 7:30 AM. She had just woken up. Following the others to the exit, she picked up her bags and went to the lobby with her mother. "I've already called a cab and made a reservation at the Grand Metropolis Hotel." winked Sonomi. Tomoyo nodded with a half smile and went outside to wait.
--RING, RING, RING--
Tomoyo opened her cellphone. "Moshi moshi, Daidouji Tomoyo speaking."
"Tomoyo-san? Ohayo gozaimasu! It's Sakura!" Sakura said cheerily on the other line
"Sakura-chan! How nice of you to call me! But, didn't expect it so soon." Tomoyo sweatdropped.
"Hai...am I bothering you?" giggled Sakura.
"No, of course not. I'm actually pretty bored right now." Tomoyo yawned. "And a touch exhausted."
"HOOOOEEEE!? Then you should rest! You shouldn't be wasting your resting hours talking to me-" Suddenly, someone bumped into Tomoyo and knocked her over.
"...Ah! GOMEN NE! I-" The stranger stopped mid-sentence. "Tomoyo-saaaaaan?! What are yooou doing here?!"
Tomoyo rubbed her head and looked up. She smiled, "Konnichiwa, Akizuki-san. What a coincidence to bump into you like this."
Nakuru picks Tomoyo up. "Yes! Tee-hee, so who did you come here with? Did Sakura-chan come with you? OH! If she did, maybe Touya-san came too?!" Stars replaced Nakuru's eyes. Tomoyo had a huge sweatdrop.
"Well....to answer all of your questions, I only came with my mom for business. Sorry about Touya-san." Tomoyo laughed.
"Awww...well, that's okay! Oh, did I tell you that there's a sweet shop next to the airport! You should visit! I just bought two bagfulls of sweets for Suppi-chaaaaan! Heehee, I should go now, Suppi-chan and Eriol-sama is waiting for me! Byeeee!!" Nakuru squealed and gave Tomoyo a death hug. Nakuru hopped off with her 2 bagfulls of sweets leaving Tomoyo standing alone again.
[Hiiragizawa-san? Here? This is too much of a coincidence.] Tomoyo suddenly felt dizzy...... [Daijoubu, London is pretty big. The chances of me running into him is pretty slim.]
--BEEEEEEEP--
A cab pulled up. [That must be the cab that mother was talking about. I'll have to think about all this later.] Only now did she realize she dropped the phone. Picking it up, Tomoyo realized it was broken. [Oh no...Sakura....I'll need to call her later and tell her what happened.]
"Mother! The cab is here!" Tomoyo yelled inside. Stuffing the broken-cell phone into her pocket, she raced to the cab. Soon, her mother came racing out as well.
~~~~++++~~~~++++~~~~++++~~~~++++~~~~
"Tomoyo!! Tomoyo-chan?! Are you there?!" Sakura screamed through her phone. Frustrated, she thrust the phone down to its reciever. [Could there perhaps be a blackout?] Sakura looks out the window. [There doesn't seem to be one, but you can never be too sure!] Sakura decides to go outside to have a look around.
It was cloudy, and before Sakura knew it, it was raining heavily. "HOEEE?!" Sakura ran through the streets, heading back home. "Mouuuu....I should have brought an umbrell-" POW! Sakura ran straight into someone and got knocked down. "Ah...GOMEN!" Sakura said, rubbing her bottom.
An umbrella sheltered her and a hand extended toward her to help her up. Sakura looked up into the handsome face of Syaoran's and blushed. "Sakura-chan? Daijoubu ka?" Sakura put her cold, numb hand into his warm, gentle hands and got up. "Hai..."
Syaoran smiled. "Maybe you should come over to my place to dry off before heading home. If that's okay with you." Sakura's blushed deepened. "H-hai..." Together, hand in hand, they walked home.
Once in Syaoran's apartment, Sakura took off her wet jacket and hung it on a rack. "Why don't you sit down and make yourself comfortable while I get some towels?" Sakura shook her head quickly. "But...I want to help!"
Syaoran walked over to Sakura and she felt a hand lifted up her chin where emerald globes met pools of brown. "Sakura...I appreciate you always wanting to help, but this time, I want to be the one to help you." He ruffled her waterlogged hair.
"BUT-"
Syaoran put a finger to her lips and silenced her with his irresistibly handsome smile.
"Hai..." squeaked Sakura. "Ano..............Syaoran-kun?"
"Hmmm?" Syaoran glanced back at Sakura. "Arigato!" Sakura smiled at him. Syaoran blushed and nodded.
~~~~++++~~~~++++~~~~++++~~~~++++~~~~
Tomoyo jumped onto the comforting bed that seemed to welcome her into its covers. BUT, Tomoyo still had an unfinished task. She picked up the phone while her mother unpacked.
--RING, RING, RING--
Sakura picked up her cell phone and sniffled. "Moshi moshi? Kinomoto Sakura speak-"
"Sakura! It's Tomoyo! Did you miss me?" Tomoyo asked teasingly.
"Tomoyo-chan? Is that really you? What happened? I was so worried about you when you just..." Sakura's voice trailed off.
"Gomen ne, I accidently dropped the phone is all. Oh! And guess what? I bumped into Akizuki-san at the airport! Ara.....actually, she was the one who bumped into me. Although, I would love to chat more....I'm feeling a bit tired." Tomoyo yawned.
"Daijoubu! I'm just glad you're okay! Heehee, and next time you see Nakuru-san, say 'HI' to her for me? You also have plenty of shopping and sightseeing to do since you're in England! Rest up while you can! Promise me that you'll tell me ALL about it later, okay?"
"Promise! Sayonara!" Tomoyo grinned.
"Ja ne!" Sakura cried cheerfully.
Tomoyo put down the phone. At the mention of sightseeing, Tomoyo no longer felt as tired. [Maybe I SHOUlD do a little sightseeing before I rest?] Tomoyo hopped off her bed and glanced at the clock. 9:03 AM. "Mother! I'm going out! I'll be back by noon!" Without waiting for an answer, she grabbed her coat and left.
~~~~++++~~~~++++~~~~++++~~~~++++~~~~
It was a warm day. "I shouldn't have brought a coat." Tomoyo sighed. She walked past a park. [Oh look, swings! I remember when my friends and I used to play on them a lot at King Penguin Park in Tomoeda. I miss those days....]
Tomoyo decided to go on the swing even if she was too old for it. She hadn't been on one since she was taping Sakura and her card quests. She was 16 now. Remembering how much she loved the swing, Tomoyo lost track of time.
Someone whistled nearby. Tomoyo looked up at a guy about her age, but a little taller. He had chestnut brown hair, black eyes, a stout body, and a look of mockery on his face. "Well well, what do we have here? You're quite pretty for your age. What're you doing here? Aren't you a little too old for swings?" He laughed.
Tomoyo, though surprised to see another Japanese person in London, frowned and held her head high. Her mother taught her to stand her ground and stand her ground she would. "I don't see why anything I do would be of YOUR concern. I don't even KNOW you!" She stuck out her tongue and continued swinging.
The guy had a shocked expression on his face, but smiled. He walked over to Tomoyo and grabbed her wrist. "Then you can get to know me. You should consider yourself lucky that I'm even offering my friendship even after what you said to me! Besides, I'm not letting a beautiful girl like you get away from me!" He laughed.
Tomoyo's body went stiff. "Stop it now. You're hurting me." Her voice was surprisingly calm. The guy pulled her dangerously close. "And if I don't?" He bent his head down close to her face. Just as he did, someone pulled him away, making him lose his grip on Tomoyo.
Tomoyo tumbled onto the grass. She sat up and started rubbing her wrist.
"Tsuguo...how many times must I remind you to leave the neighboring ladies 'alone'?" sighed an attractively handsome voice. Tsuguo laughed. "Sorry, I just couldn't help it. Well, Miss, you're a lucky one. I guess I should go back to the office. Coming, Mr. Ruin-All-The-Fun?"
"You go ahead of me. I'll meet you there. For now..." replied Tomoyo's savior. She felt his intense stare on her. Tomoyo ignored it. "...I have some business to attend to."
"Suit yourself." Tsuguo ran off. Once gone, Tomoyo's savior knelt down in front of her. "Are you alright? I hope my friend, Tsuguo-baka, hasn't harmed you." he asked with a touch of playfulness.
Tomoyo avoided looking up. She had enough surprises for today. "I'm just fine." she murmured, "Thank you for.....helping me. If there's anything I can do, just look up the name, Daidouji Tomoyo." Tomoyo got up and started to walk away. "Excuse me, but I need to go.....ano.........shoppping." She blushed at her lame excuse.
Just as she was leaving, she felt her savior grab her hand. Though his grip was tight, it didn't hurt at all. In fact, he was quite gentle. Tomoyo's eyes widened, but refused to turn around.
"Is that really you....Daidouji-san?" gasped her savior. Tomoyo frowned. This guy's voice was becoming all too familiar now. She turned around, "Excuse me, do I know you-" She stopped mid-sentence and also gasped. "Y-you're....."
