Chapter Three

The Next Day Tomoyo got up extra early. (Everything must be perfect) She had totally forgotten about her feelings toward Sakura. She put on a pale blue dress. (I hope Sakura and Li are going with each other) She waited endless hours until finally it was noon. ~Ding Dong~ (That must be Eriol! I can't wait!) "Good Afternoon Eriol!" "Good Afternoon" He gave her a short bow. "My mother said she would take us, if you don't mind." The children were very quiet on the way to the carnival. As soon as they laid a foot outside, the excitement caught up with them. Eriol bought them both some Cotton Candy, and they went onto the Farris Wheel. (I would love to kiss him right now) The couple slowly leaned in for the big moment . . . "Hey! Look it's Tomoyo and Eriol!" Sakura and Li had found them. (Thanks so much Sakura!) "Oh hi! How's it going?" "Fine. We have already gone on all the kiddy rides." Softly she added, "Li doesn't like any of the scary roller coasters!" Sakura shot a look at her date as they got off the Farris wheel. While the boys were talking Sakura thanked her devoted friend for setting Li and her up. "You're welcome, even though you interrupted Eriol and I! We were about to kiss." "Ho-oe! Gotten very cozy with Eriol?" Tomoyo turned a deep crimson. Then Eriol came to the rescue of Tomoyo's embarrassment, "I apologize, but I am going to steal the Beautiful Tomoyo from you Sakura. I hope you don't mind!" "Not at all" She shot a big wink at Tomoyo. "Li was telling me about his talk with Sakura last night. She answered the phone, 'Finally Tomoyo, what did Li say about the Spring Carnival?'" Tomoyo giggled. She wanted to see the look on Sakura's face when she found out it was Li (Ho-oe!) "Lets go on the Haunted Castle ride next!" Tomoyo suggested (I can act scared and maybe go back into his soft arms)

"Wow! That was a long line!" Tomoyo said as the couple got into the carriage. "Ya. Good thing we are here now." Eriol replied quickly. The carriage went into a big tunnel. Inside there was skeletons and spider webs EVERYWERE!!! Around one bend there was a big ghost, and Tomoyo screamed and "accidentally" found herself in Eriol's lap. The couple leaned in for a second try. "Hey aren't you one of Sakura's friends?" "Hello Touya." Sakura's Brother and his friend Yutiko were found in the seat in front of them. (How does this keep happening?) "Who's your friend Tomoyo-Chan?" "Touya, I would like to introduce Eriol." She crawled out of Eriol's lap. The swings weren't the only cursed thing around here. Tomoyo sighed and closed her eyes. She was on the swings. The foggy creature was on the swing next to her. "Come with me! Hurry!" As it went towards the trees. (What is going on. This cannot be a dream). "Tomoyo!" She woke up feeling very weak. "What's wrong with you? You shouldn't be here if you are sick!" It was Touya this time. "I'm not sick." She said faintly. "I'll take you home Tomoyo," Said a scared Eriol. "I'm so sorry Eriol-Kun!" Then Tomoyo burst into tears. (Everything is just so wrong!)

"I can not believe that I started bawling in front of him!" Tomoyo was telling Sakura later that night. Apparently Eriol had called her after the Carnival. She came over to see if Tomoyo was sick. "That's ok. Nothing good ever happens between Lee and I either." "But you never fainted with out real cause and then start crying!" "Don't worry about it! In a couple of days it will be forgotten." "Are you sure?" "Yes. Now stop worrying and get well soon!" "I am well! It was a temporary thing." "Ok, what ever you say Tomoyo. I have to go, but I will see you in school on Monday, right?" "Yes you will. Good Bye my friend." "Bye" (I'm sure I will be fine. This wont happen ever again, right?) She fell asleep with a solemn tear in her eye.

Monday came too soon. She got dressed and took the short way to school. (Every time I close my eyes I faint. Then Eriol catches me. And I always have the same dream. That is not a coincidence.) The whole day she tried not to look at her handsome crush. The fates did not like that idea at all. Mr. Terada paired them up for a class project. "Hi Tomoyo," Eriol said softly." "Thank you Eriol-kun." "For what? I did not do anything." "You helped me every time I fainted. You took care of me. Protected me" "You are welcome" "I also wanted to apologize for having to go home early" "Don't worry about it. It was unavoidable. But I do have a cure for your fainting spells. You have a dream when you faint right?" "Yes! How did you know?" "It happened to me once. I liked a girl back in England. Then one day, I met someone else. I liked them both very much. Every time I was around the second girl I would faint and dream about the first girl. I found out later that my mind was being torn in two different directions, whom do I love the most? I had to pick one of the girls to like the most. It sounds very strange, but it just might work for you. Unless you were dreaming of Sheep." Tomoyo giggled. "I think we need to get back to the project."
