you ever wondered why Tomoyo is always calling Sakura cute, so devoted to her, always taping her, having those stars in her eyes, etc.? It's believed that Tomoyo loves Sakura more than a friend. Sakura may possible be Tomoyo's love interest. Of course, there IS proof that Tomoyo loves Sakura more than just a friend. She even says so in the manga and gives hints... ^^;; (But, in the anime, Tomoyo is portrayed as just a loving friend.) Here's a little scene from Volume 2 of the manga:
Sakura: [smiling] But it sure looks like your mom loved my mom a lot, too. Makes me happy!
Tomoyo: [beaming] Well...... I love you a lot too, Sakura.
Sakura: Me too! [grins widely]
Touya: [from afar with an annoyed look] HEY! It's the closing ceremony!
Sakura: [shouts back with widened eyes] We're on our way!
Tomoyo: [has a soft expression] You don't know just how much... I love you, Sakura. [hair blows in the wind]
Sakura: [turns back around] D'you say something?
Tomoyo: [grins] I'll tell you when you're a little older. [holds Sakura's hand] Come on! Let's go!
Sakura: [has a confused look on her face]

Tomoyo DOES love Sakura more than a friend, but how do we know it not just lust? She's so young. Tomoyo lives such a lonely life before meeting Sakura. Her mother is at work 24/7, she has no knowledge of her father, she lives only with her grandfather at her mansion, etc. Sakura was probably the first person to give Tomoyo true warmth and love. Maybe Tomoyo was just confused, and believed Sakura was her first love. There's a big chance of lust here. We'll never know. Perhaps someday Tomoyo will find her own true love~ *.* Even if Sakura doesn't love Tomoyo in the same way, they're both very cute together~ <3 [sniffles] Although Sakura doesn't love Tomoyo in the same way, Tomoyo doesn't show any sogn of pain. She only smiles at Sakura, careful not to worry her. Here's another scene from the manga. (I forgot which volume.)
Tomoyo: For me, if the one I love most is happy, then so am I.
Sakura: You don't care if they don't love you back?
Tomoyo: It would be wonderful if they loved me back, but it is not necessary. As long as they are happy then I am too.
From the above, you can tell how selfless Tomoyo is. You can tell how sweet and thoughtful she is. And, you can almost tell that she's referring to Sakura as the person who she loves most, but since Sakura is not as observant... she doesn't realize Tomoyo's feelings for her. It's so sad. ;___;
