Although most of Tomoyo's family members are unknown, her mother is Daidouji Sonomi. She's the CEO of a very wealthy toy company. Close to nothing is known about Tomoyo's father, but it is said that he's still alive. Tomoyo also has a Grandfather who is said to be living at her mansion, but I've yet to confirm that claim since even fewer information is known about her Grandfather. Due to the reason that Sonomi is constantly at work, Tomoyo hardly sees hers. It's only rare that Sonomi appears in the Card Captor Sakura episodes. T__T I assume the reason why The Daidoujis are so rich is because Sonomi works almost 24/7. @__@;; Sonomi and Nadeshiko, Sakura's mother, are cousins, so that makes Sakura and Tomoyo distant cousins. 
Sonomi had always been very overprotective of Nadeshiko. She would let NO guys get too close to her her. She was almost always with Nadeshiko. They did almost everything together and SOnomi was always watching over Nadeshiko to make sure she was okay. It was almost as if Sonomi loved her more than just a cousin... It was then that Nadeshiko fell in love with her own novice teacher, Kinomoto Fujitaka. Nadeshiko married at 16, and died at 27. Sonomi blames Fujitaka for Nadeshiko's death. Ever since then, Sonomi has held a great grudge over Fujitaka, and even males. Because of her disliking over males, her mansion consists of ONLY female security guards, maids, and other workers. Yes... all females... O__O;;
